Cameroon: Yves Michel Fotso sentenced to life imprisonment

The former General Manager of the defunct national, Cameroon Airlines Camair Yves Michel Fotso have been sentenced to life imprisonment for embezzling 32 Billion FCFA while he was General Manager at Camair.

His sentence was handed in yesterday at the Younde-based special Criminal Court, SCC. The ruling was for the second of two matters for which Yves Michel Fotso is standing trail at the SCC. 

The trail took place in absence of Yves Fotso who had sent a letter through his lawyer in February on his withdrawal from the trail on grounds that the entire case and procedure was unfair.

It is important to note that yves Michel Fotso is the son of one of the most richest Cameroonian Henry Fotso. 

Boko Harram asking for $50 million as ransom to free the Chibok girls

$50 million is what the Islamic militant group Boko Harram is asking as ransomto free the 219 Chibok girls which it abducted in 2014. The demand comes just few  weeks to the second anniversary of their kidnapped in Northern Nigeria.

In a secret meeting between the federal government of Nigeria headed by the newly elected President Muhammad Buhari and the militant group a request of $50 million was asked in other for the girls to be released. But it's Boko Harram broke now or what? Lol to the level were they are asking for cash as ransom.

Report says this demands has brought a split within the government as some think it would be worth it to help resolve the Chibok situation while another group of thought thinks it will enriched the militant group in recruiting more soldiers. All we want is for the girls to be free😐

Its important to recalled that the Chibok girls were abducted on the 14th of April 2014 in the northern part of Nigeria and since then champaign on  'Bring Back our Girls' has been running through socail media to help curve the problem by social political and religious organisations.

The Islamic militant group rejects female education and western education in general and it is reported that all girls whom have been abducted by Boko Harram have been forcefully convicted to Islam.

Ghana: king Cephas uses social media to govern his people

And who says as a king or any other traditional ruler can not govern his poeple through socail media that he must be resisting permanently in the community before any effective leadership and control can be made.

Well....57 year old King Togbe Ngoryifia Cephas Kosi Bansah has just proofed you wrong by showing off pictures at his mechanic workshop in Germany as he governs his poeple over Skype. 

He is currently the superior and spiritual chief of Ewe people of Gbi kingdom in Eastern Ghana but permanently resists in Ludwigshafen Germany with his wife Gabriele Bansah and their two kids. 

King Tobago Ngoryifia Cephas Kosi Bansah was born in Ghana but was later sent to Germany in 1970 by his grandfather who encouraged him to further his passion for mechanic.

He went on to further his studies on mechanic and eventually gained full citizenship and decided to settle in Germany. He opened up his garage in Ludwigshafen Germany and in 1987 he received a Fax which would change his life forever.

The King of Hohoe, his grandfather had died and his father and eldest brother whom were deemed fit for the thrown were all sidelined because they were all left-handed and according to the traditions of the Ewe people that is considered as 'unclean'. 

Therefore according to the customs of the Ewe people Céphas was the only rightful heir to the thrown..'how cool of a surprise was that..lol'.

Even though he is the King of Hohoe he lives permanently in Ludwigshafen Germany with his family he uses Skype to govern his poeple and visits Ghana a year.

Football: Alexander Song might be without a club in summer while Antonio Conte steps in as the new Chelsea manager.

And the lights of Bassa did not shine very bright for Alex Song in England as West Ham has reportedly decided not to sign in the Cameroonian international who was on a loan with the club for the next season.

 Unfortunately for Alex Song he has to return to Barcelona where his services are really not appreciated as a midfielder as his contract with the club ends only in 2017. 
The 28year old played only 15 matches with West Ham after suffering from an ankle injury which kept him out of play for over months.

To be recalled that Alex Song joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2012 under a transfer free of over €19 million from Arsenal. Can't lie...I feel very disappointed for my kamer broda. Anyways we no di carry last God dey..lol

While Alex Song focuses on the dilemma about his future Antonio Conte gets his future more stablished as the new Chelsea manager. The 46 year old who is currently the head coach for the Italian national team signed a 3 year contract with Chelsea football club which will commerce in summer.

I think it will be an understatement to say Conte has a huge job ahead of him in returning the reputation of winning which Chelsea has lost this season.

Nigeria: unbelievable but true. A woman allegedly killed her 1 year old child and drank her blood.

A 39 year old woman identified as Ifeoma is alleged to have killed her one year old child, gorged out her eyes and drank her blood in Onicha Uboma Autonomous community in the Ihitte/Uboma local government area, Imo state Nigeria.

According to the daily independence, the 39 year committed the heinous act in her husband shop while he was away for a business trip. Upon his return from trip Mr. Emedom realised his 1 year old daughter and wife are no where to be found. 

He made an immediate alert to his neighbours whom also had no glue of their where about. He proceeded to his shop where he had the greatest shock of his life. The lifeless body of his daughter in the arms of his wife with blood all over her body and mouth in particular.

 I can only imagine the humiliation shock and range Mr. Emedom had on his face. He immediately alerted the general public and the police who came and arrested the wife. 

A community leader said this isn't the first time she is caught in such heinous act 'she always offer scarifie to their god in the river. Some few months ago she attempted to kill a woman in he community but unfortunately for her she was caught but the victim went away with an injury.

Cape Town: Our campuses a breathing ground for rapist

I wonder since when did our campuses suddenly become a breading ground for rapist field where some less of Man come to exercise their uncontrollable erotic desires.

 Some few weeks ago it two female students at the university of Cape Town (UCT) whom were reportable rapped next to

the Rhodes memorial on campus. This at the early hours of this past Saturday morning it was the turn for the University of Stellenbosch where a student was allegedly attached and raped on campus between the Heemstede and Metanoia hostels.

The student immediately laid reported the incident to campus security and the suspect was arrested immediately.

This incidents is just one of many where women, young girls even female children under the ages of 5 are being raped and victimised by men who are in some cases family members or friends.

About 3 weeks ago a 5 year old child was raped by his neighbour in parow, a teenage girl was raped and murdered in Tokia forest, another got raped murdered and left at a communal toilet in khayelisha.

This statistic I can't lie throw chill down my spin. How can human beings be this wicked. Why rape a 5 year old. How evil can you to take away the ignorance of a 5 year old.

Have women become so venerable that even our social and educational institutions can't help us anymore? Since when did our campuses become a place where walking alone as a girl is 'sexually appealing' for some men.

And guess what? The most annoying thing is most of the rapists will either never be found because our social institutions has made incidents like this permissable or they will be out on bail.

As a woman we are being told not to dress seductively not to attract men. That I believe is the most patriarchal thing I have ever heard. 😈 And if this statement was true I wonder how a 5 year child could have dressed so seductively to be raped by a 32 year old adult.

Too be able to control our emotions is what makes us different from other beings. From generation to generations women have been labelled the weaker being men the stronger being. Wish some men could use this gender role to control their erotic desire.
